The holiday season can be a challenging time, especially for those far from home.
Mental Health Support – MOST Platform
MOST is a free mental health support platform for international students aged 15–25.
It’s available even when other services may be closed. Through MOST, you can:
• Chat with mental health professionals
• Access the Distress Tolerance Toolkit for simple, in-the-moment strategies
• Use the Festive Care Pack for holiday wellbeing tips.
Download MOST from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or visit MOST online.
Additional resources are available on Study Australia, including guidance on mental wellbeing: How to access mental wellbeing support | Study Australia.
Important Scam Warning
We’ve seen an increase in scams targeting international students, including:
• Criminals asking students to sell their bank accounts or ID
• Using students as money mules
• Buying and selling student identity documents
• Even involving students in illegal activities like animal smuggling
Getting involved in these practices can lead to loss of savings, severe stress, criminal charges, and losing your place in Australian education.
Please stay alert and never share your personal or banking details. For more information:
• AFP’s urgent warning for departing international students
• Money Muling – AFP Cybercrime Series
We’re here for you.
If you need support or have concerns, your well-being and safety are our priority. Please reach out to our student services team on 08-9325 1390. We will be available for any emergency or well-being issues only during this holiday period on the above number, as most staff are on leave.
Hopkins International College full team will be back on 05 Jan 2026.

Such an amazing place we live in!✨🌌 Nature's beacon lights the way to the historic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse .
The tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, at 39m, this watchtower sits just outside Augusta on a peninsula where the Indian and the Southern Oceans meet.
On a clear night, you can watch the Milky Way rise behind it, and during the day - tours run to showcase the old lighthouse keepers houses, as well as the magnificent views atop this still-working limestone behemoth.

At Hopkins we take our student support sincerely!
As the Mental Health Month approaching in October, it's a timely reminder of the vital role education providers play in supporting the mental and physical well-being of international students.
At Hopkins , we’re proud to offer:
Mental health sessions every six months
Access to a variety of support services
A dedicated Student Support Team ready to help
International students often face unique challenges—from academic pressure to cultural adjustment and homesickness. That’s why we align with the Department of Education’s evidence-based framework released in November 2024, which includes practical guides for supporting student wellbeing.
Students aged 15–25 can also access the MOST mental health app, offering professional support, therapeutic content, and a moderated peer community. The app will be further promoted by Orygen Digital this October.
If you need support, don’t hesitate to contact the Hopkins Student Support Team. We’re here for you. See us at our campus, 170 Wellington St, East Perth. Visit our website for more resources hopkins.edu.au/student-support/

On 20 Aug 2025, Hopkins had the honour of hosting a cultural awareness session dedicated to learning about the histories, cultures, and wisdom of First Nations and Aboriginal peoples in WA and Australia.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Neville Collard, a local Noongar elder, for generously sharing their knowledge and perspectives with our staff and students. This session was a vital step in our journey toward truth, understanding, and reconciliation.
This session provided an invaluable opportunity for our staff and students to listen, reflect, and deepen our commitment to respecting and honouring the First Peoples of this land. This is not a conclusion, but a continuation of our learning and our responsibility to build a more inclusive future.
We acknowledge that we are on the traditional lands of the Noongar people, and we pay respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging.

Hopkins Buffet Success!
Our talented Commercial Cookery students undertook the task of producing and serving a delicious buffet as part of their SITHCCC038 Produce and Serve food for buffets unit. Not only did they impress with their culinary skills, but they also provided exceptional hospitality to their fellow students!
The feedback was great, with everyone talking about the warm service and mouth-watering dishes. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to put their skills into practice in a real-world setting.
A huge thank you to all the students involved for their hard work and dedication. We're incredibly proud of each and every one of you!
