Meet the Leadership
Dr. Amer Matarneh
Amer is known for his entrepreneurship in the WA Retail Industry. He has successfully established private enterprises and is always looking for his next venture. Before emigrating to Perth, Amer was a Director in Vocational Training Services for the Jordanian Government. Throughout his career he has worked in commercial and not-for-profit environments in the Human Resources and Employment Service Sectors. Having completed his PhD in Business Management and Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Murdoch University, Amer now works as a seasonal lecturer at Murdoch whilst managing the operations of Hopkins International College. In his free time Amer loves spending time with his daughters – his favourite game being table tennis!
Lincoln Islam
Lincoln has worked in Human Resources and Corporate Services across a range of sectors for over 16 years. His experience spans the private and public sectors with direct experience in Mining, Health, RTOs and not-for-profit. Previously Principal Consultant with a WA State Government Agency and the Executive Manager of People & Safety at the Police and Community Youth Centres, Lincoln is an expert in his field. Whilst working full-time, he completed his Master of Human Resources from Murdoch University and Masters in Employee Relation from Griffith University. He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, WA. Outside of work, Lincoln is passionate about sport and traveling. He is a big fan of Argentine Football Team and loves to travel around the world to follow his team play football.
John Gillespie
John Gillespie, known to many as Jock, is a decorated former Police Officer who served in the Western Australia Police Force for 31 years in a variety of operational and senior management positions. Jock was one of eight inaugural retired police volunteers who provided support for Operation Tide during the COVID 19 Pandemic and worked in Vaccine Command Centre assisting with the State-wide vaccine roll-out. Jock has tertiary qualifications in Criminal Investigations, Policing and Public Administration and a Master of Business. He has also authored published articles on this subject. Between 2013 and 2018 Jock served as the CEO of the WA Police and Community Youth Centres (Inc.) with responsibility for implementing State Government reforms and transforming the organisation.
Josh Hardy
Josh Hardy is an experienced professional in the field of RTO (Registered Training Organisation) compliance management, with a remarkable tenure of over 15 years in this role. Currently, he holds the position of Lead Advisor, RTO Compliance at Hopkins International College. Throughout his career, Josh has displayed exceptional knowledge and expertise in ensuring regulatory compliance within the training industry. With a meticulous approach and dedication to upholding standards, he has consistently played a vital role in helping the organisation meet their compliance requirements. Josh's extensive experience and strategic insights make him a valuable asset in the RTO compliance team at Hopkins.
