The Provide CPR course would benefit anyone wanting to learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in an emergency situation. The course provides you with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely perform CPR and manage an emergency situation in the community or workplace until relived by medical personnel.
Course Delivery and Assessment
We offer two distinct pathways to suit your schedule and experience level: 100% Face-to-Face: Traditional classroom learning with no online requirements. Blended Learning: A convenient mix of online theory and in-person practical assessments. We also offer express assessment: an accelerated option for those seeking to renew their existing medication competency.
Entry Requirements
Age Requirement:
Students must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirement
The HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation Unit of Competency standard requires a level of physical ability to meet the evidence requirements for assessment. Students must be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR for an extended period of time. Due to the potential risk to health and safety where a nominated first aider, or worker with duty of care, does not have the ability to perform resuscitation and/or first aid to the performance standard, it is not appropriate to issue a statement of attainment to learners who are physically unable to meet the assessment requirements.
Pre-requisite Requirement:
Prior to attending the course, students are sent a link to complete online learning and assessment. This must be completed prior to attending the practical session unless there are extenuating circumstances. In this situation, the student must advise the Trainer and Assessor on arrival to the practical session.

This course satisfies training requirements across a range of community and workplace settings and includes:
- Recovery Position, including infant and adult
